Reconstruction
Rebuilding With the Company That Did the Cleanup
When we handle both the cleanup and the rebuild, you skip hiring a second contractor and waiting on a new estimate. We document everything we remove during the cleanup, so the rebuild estimate starts from the same photos and records your adjuster already has.
Taylored Restoration began as a remodeling company, so putting back what was there is only one option. If you’ve wanted to change a room for a while, we can build those changes into the repairs and give you a property that’s better than before.
How Reconstruction Works
Our Reconstruction Process
01
We walk through the damage
We walk through your property with you, measure what needs rebuilding, and talk through any changes you’d like to make along the way, before we put anything in writing.
02
We put the repair plan in writing
We write up the repair plan and estimate in the format insurance companies use, and if you’re filing a claim, we send it to your adjuster too, so you both see the full scope before work starts.
03
We frame, insulate, and close the walls
We repair the framing, add new insulation and a vapor barrier behind each wall we close, hang and finish the drywall, and replace roofing or siding the damage reached.
04
We finish each room and walk it with you
We install the flooring, trim, and cabinets and paint the walls, then go over each room with you and handle any last touch-ups, so your property is finished and ready to live or work in again.
Before Rebuilding
What to Do Before Repairs Begin
Confirm Remediation Is Complete
Rebuilding over wet framing, leftover mold, or soot seals the problem inside your new walls. We check moisture readings and confirm the cleanup is finished before any rebuilding starts.
Gather Your Paperwork
Keep your photos of the damage, your claim number, and any paperwork from the cleanup in one place, so we can work from the same records as your adjuster when we estimate the rebuild.
Decide on Any Upgrades
If you’ve been thinking about a new layout, flooring, or cabinets, decide before we write the estimate. Insurance usually pays to put back what was there, so we’ll show you which changes you’d pay for separately.
Call When You’re Ready
When you’re ready to plan the rebuild, call us at (866) 604-8697, and we’ll set up a time to walk through it with you on site and answer your questions.
Our People
Our Alaska Reconstruction Team
The carpenters rebuilding your property insulate and seal every wall they close with an Alaska winter in mind. If your family or staff are still using part of the building, they work around you and keep the rooms tidy as they go.
Taylored Restoration supports local groups such as the Scotty Gomez Foundation, Rush Soccer Club, Elite Sports Fitness Center, and the Alyeska Ski Club Golf Tournament.

Restoration Services That Support Your Rebuild
Before we start rebuilding, we dry the structure, clean up soot, and remove any mold. We also store your belongings while they work and clean the carpets when they finish, so your whole project stays with one company.
Water Damage Restoration
Our crews dry the structure fully before we start rebuilding, so new drywall never goes up over wet framing.
Water Damage Restoration →Mold Removal and Remediation
We remove the mold and fix its moisture source before we rebuild, so you don’t have to reopen the new walls later.
Mold Remediation →Frozen Pipes and Ice Dams
When we repair walls after a burst pipe, you get them back sealed and insulated for the next cold snap.
Frozen Pipes and Ice Dams →Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration
We clean the soot and smoke from a fire-damaged building before the rebuild starts so the new work isn’t sealing in odor.
Fire Damage Restoration →Contents Cleaning and Storage
Our team moves your belongings to heated storage during the rebuild, so the crew has room and your things stay clean.
Contents Cleaning →Trauma and Biohazard Cleanup
We clean and disinfect trauma scenes discreetly, so you can leave both the cleanup and the repairs to us.
Biohazard Cleanup →Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning
We deep clean the carpet in the rooms we didn’t rebuild, so the whole property feels fresh when you move back in.

Taylored Restoration FAQs
Anchorage, Mat-Su, and Fairbanks Reconstruction FAQs
What if you find more damage once the walls are open?
We document it and update the plan. We photograph what we find, add it to the written scope, and send the change to your adjuster if you’re filing a claim, so you both approve it before we do the work.
Do I have to use the contractor my insurance company recommends?
In most cases, no. You can usually choose who repairs your property, even if your insurer suggests a preferred contractor. We’ll coordinate with your adjuster either way and share our estimate and photos with them.
Do you repair the outside of the building too?
Yes. Along with interior repairs, we handle roof, siding, and structural repairs when a fire, ice dam, or storm damages the outside of your property, so you’re not lining up a separate roofer or siding contractor.
Do you only rebuild after damage, or do you remodel too?
We do both. Along with rebuilding after a loss, we take on planned projects like kitchen and bathroom remodels and additions, which our remodeling and repairs page covers.
Will the new work hold up through an Alaska winter?
Yes, that’s what we build it for. We work through Alaska winters every year, and we put back the insulation and vapor barrier a heated building here needs, so the repaired rooms hold heat like the rest of your property.
Can you help with a smaller job, like one damaged room?
Yes. We take on single rooms as well as whole floors, and a one-room repair gets the same written plan and careful finish work as a larger rebuild.
