Why Mat-Su Valley Property Owners Choose Taylored Restoration
We opened our first Valley office in 1999, when the Mat-Su was still growing, and we’ve grown along with it. Crawl spaces, well houses, and homes a long drive from town are everyday work for our Palmer team, and we plan each job around them.
We document the damage with photos and daily moisture readings, write estimates in the format insurers use, and stay in touch with your adjuster. Once the property is dry, we handle the rebuild too, so you have one local company from the first call to the final repair.

Mat-Su FAQs
Mat-Su Valley Water, Fire, and Mold Restoration FAQs
How bad can wind damage get around Palmer?
Bad enough to take roofs off. Gusts at the Palmer airport have reached 90 mph, strong enough to peel off roofing and flip trailers. We cover the openings, dry out anything that got wet, and repair the roof, siding, and windows.
How far into the Valley do your crews travel?
Our Palmer crews cover Palmer, Wasilla, and the communities around them, including Big Lake, Houston, and Sutton-Alpine. Tell us where the property is when you call, and we’ll give you an arrival estimate.
Do you handle wildfire smoke damage in Willow, Houston, and Big Lake?
Yes. The Sockeye and Miller’s Reach fires both destroyed homes in the western Valley, and smoke from fires like those reaches homes the flames never touch. We clean soot and smoke odor from the house and its contents and rebuild what the fire damaged.
Do you handle chimney and wood stove fires?
Yes. After a chimney or wood stove fire, we secure the building, clean soot and smoke residue from the rooms it reached, remove the odor, and rebuild anything that burned. Have the chimney inspected before you use the stove again.
Will my insurance cover water damage?
Usually, if it’s sudden and accidental, like a burst pipe or a failed water heater. Damage from a slow leak or groundwater often isn’t covered. We document everything with photos and moisture readings and work directly with your adjuster.
What happens to my belongings during repairs?
We can pack them out, clean them, and keep them in heated storage until the repairs are done, then bring everything back.
Can mold in a crawl space spread into the house?
It can. Air from the crawl space rises into the rooms above and carries moisture and spores with it, so we remove the growth under containment and track down the moisture feeding it.
Will I need a separate contractor for the repairs?
No. Once the property is dry, we replace the drywall, flooring, framing, and siding we removed, so one company sees the job through.
