About Restoration Services in Mat-Su

What are the most common causes of residential flooding and water damage in the Mat-Su Valley?

Common causes of residential water damage in the Mat-Su Valley include spring snowmelt, heavy rainfall, frozen or burst pipes, foundation leaks, and plumbing failures. Seasonal weather changes and soil conditions can increase the risk of flooding in basements and crawl spaces. In the Mat-Su Valley, water damage is commonly caused by heavy rain, rapid snowmelt, frozen or burst pipes, plumbing failures, and roof or foundation leaks. Seasonal temperature swings can also create moisture buildup that leads to hidden water damage inside walls and crawl spaces.

Storm damage restoration often involves exterior water intrusion, debris removal, and structural drying, while plumbing-related water damage is typically localized but may affect walls and flooring. Both processes include water extraction and drying, but storm damage may require additional repairs such as roof or siding restoration.

Untreated mold can cause respiratory irritation, allergic reactions, headaches, and worsened asthma symptoms. In Mat-Su homes, mold growth is often linked to moisture buildup from weather or water damage. Professional mold remediation helps protect indoor air quality and occupant health.

Tailored Restoration offers 24/7 emergency response and can begin cleanup within hours of a fire or flood in the Mat-Su area. Fast action helps prevent secondary damage such as mold growth, corrosion, and structural deterioration.

Management Team

Manager/Owner
Trent Taylor, Owner and General Manager of Taylored Restoration, has over 30 years of experience in the business, having worked alongside my parents, who founded the company. I was born in Portland, Oregon, and relocated to Alaska at the age of two weeks. I am a proud father of five children: three adult daughters, Jazmin, Toni, and Tiana, who are twins, as well as two younger children, Liv and Louis. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my family and engaging in skiing, fishing, traveling, hiking, and hunting. Additionally, I contribute to the community by volunteering with the Gomez Foundation, which assists underprivileged children in accessing hockey, and the Rush Soccer Club. I have completed two half Ironman competitions and a mountain marathon, and I was also the chess champion during elementary school. My appreciation for working at Taylored Restoration stems from my relationships with my colleagues, the satisfaction that comes from helping others, and the supportive, family-oriented environment we foster here.
Production Manager
Matt Hall serves as the Production Manager for the Mat-Su Valley. He is married to his wife, Calley, and together they have a two-year-old daughter, with whom he enjoys spending quality time. In his leisure time, he participates in activities such as hunting, fishing, camping, ATV riding, and snowmobiling. He is also a proud owner of an American Bulldog named Hades. Additionally, Matt volunteers with his mother’s non-profit organization, the “Forget-Me-Not Mission,” which raises awareness about drunk driving and supports those in need. Regarding sports, he is an enthusiastic supporter of the Tennessee Titans and the Oregon Ducks. What he appreciates most about working at Taylored Restoration is the people.
