Kitchen Improvements for Entertaining
With the holidays around the corner, you may be thinking about hosting family and friends at your home. If you frequently host these meals and other events, you might want to consider making some changes to improve the way your kitchen functions. Here are a few ideas that could make hosting easier.
Double Ovens. Double ovens are great if you frequently prepare large meals. They allow you to cook two different dishes at once, ensuring both are ready at the same time.
Extra Large Fridge. If your fridge always seems to be full, you may want to consider replacing it with an oversized fridge. This will give you enough space to store extra food, beverages, and leftovers. If you don’t have enough space for an oversized fridge, consider putting an extra one in the garage for added storage.
Prep Sink. Prep sinks are small sinks typically built into your countertop. They allow you to wash your vegetables and are usually located close to the cooking area for ease of use. Prep sinks are especially handy if you have two people working in the kitchen. The main sink is typically used for cleanup, while the prep sink is used for preparing the meal.
Kitchen Island with Seating. An island allows guests to join you in the kitchen with ease. It increases the entertaining space in your home, and gives you some company while you prepare the meal.
Pot Filler. Pot fillers are typically located above or by the cooktop and allow you to fill large pots with water without having to move a heavy, water-filled pot. It’s especially helpful if you frequently cook large amounts of pasta with very large pots.
