‘Millennial Pink’ is the IT color in Home Trends
Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard that dusty pink is a pretty popular hue right now. The shade is the number one color for weddings and was named color of the year by Pantone back in 2015. The best part? It’s already made a comeback (only 2 years later) and this time it’s popping up everywhere in home decor. This shade of pink is nothing new to home decor, but has recently taken on a new life being used for bathrooms, furniture and even - appliances.
Light pink, also known as rose quartz or dusty rose is now being called, “Millennial Pink” due to it’s popularity from that generation. Why? For starters, it’s fun without being too flashy, it's subtle without being boring and it goes with just about everything — no wonder people love it.
And the color is more than just a pretty hue, it's good for you too! The toned down pink has been proven to reduce stress and anxiety, according to a study published in the Journal of Psychiatry. Surround yourself with soft pink, and you'll feel calmer and happier.
There's no doubt about it — pink is one of the best and most versatile colors ever, and it's not going away anytime soon.
